Bent-glued furniture elements produced by the DREW-ZET company require a number of actions in order to obtain the proper product quality.
The technological process of shaped plywood production starts with obtaining high-quality wood of leaf-trees, which then undergoes the hygrothermic processing of strictly defined parameters, aiming at its plasticizing. Further on, the raw material undergoes barking, peeling, cutting into appropriate formats and drying. Cover formats, which are burdened with flaws in the form of black knags, are repaired by machines by means of cutting and filling with native material. The obtained product is a semi-finished product for the various-shape plywood production.
The process of cover packages gluing takes place in immediate connection with glue in special moulds, which are located in hydraulic presses. The gluing process parameters, such as unit pressure, the time and temperature of gluing, are controlled by an automatic control unit. To ensure that the final product is of required shape and sizes, the glued elements are stored, whilst the complex-shape molded pieces are stored in special cooling fixtures until completely cooled and stabilized.
The company has a number of standard molds; it is also possible to make them upon the specific customer's request. During the pressing process, molded pieces of properly formed shape are made.
Produced shaped plywood is mainly made of beech, and less frequently of birch wood. Molded pieces are for varnishing and upholstering in two quality classes, in various sizes and patterns.
Depending on the kind of glue used for production, the DREW-ZET company offers cast profiles durable in the dry environment and water-resistant. Moreover, upon an individual order, it is possible to use water-resistant glues with a light weld. The quality of welds and shape of molded pieces is verified directly after taking out of the mold. In case of a special-purpose plywood, assessment requirements are related not only to the looks of its external plans, but also with the quality, durability of gluing and the results of durability test. Moreover, some of the produced molded pieces are tested at Wood Technology Institute in Poznań in order to determine their durability and the emission of formaldehyde.
At the further stages of the production process, produced elements undergo storing and final processing both for upholstery and varnishing.
Designs of our products are the result of consultations with customers, our own observations and trends in the industrial design development in the field of glued shapes of plywood.
DREW-ZET ensures constant development which is transparent in, among others, the plans of the extension of production and storage buildings, purchasing new presses and launching new designs, adjusted to your needs.
